On Monday of this week, I participated in the Holidaze Storytellers Project sponsored by The Courier Journal.  The storytellers who participated were invited to share a story about this time of year that would strengthen our community by moving the hearts of participants and by strengthening the bonds of community around us.  I told a story about a Christmas gift that I received in 1953 and the effect it had on the life of my brother George and me. Telling this story helped me to remember the true meaning of gift-giving and the depth and wonder of the Christmas season. I hope you enjoy listening to it:
