The video below was created by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops to promote the “Call to Prayer” for life, marriage, and religious liberty. As a reminder, last November the bishops approved a pastoral strategy to promote prayer, penance, and sacrifice as a way to renew our commitment to a culture of life, marriage, and religious liberty.  As a result of these efforts, Catholics in our Archdiocese and throughout the United States have participated in many activities, including fasting and abstaining from meat on Friday, praying a Rosary daily, or attending Eucharistic Holy Hours.  In our Archdiocese, we held a series of Eucharistic Holy Hours at several parishes within our 24 counties, and parishes participated in the Fortnight for Freedom in June.

In addition, the Bishops’ Conference has promoted a text campaign through which individuals can sign up to receive updates about religious liberty and conscience protection issues.  To receive these updates, just text the word Freedom to 377377.

Please watch this brief video that presents the “Call to Prayer,” and how we all can join together to make a difference for the Church and for society. And after watching it, check out more resources on the “Call to Prayer web page here and information on the Call to Prayer Facebook page here
