DESIGNATED PILGRIMAGE SITES
“In accord with the Decree on Granting of Indulgence during the Ordinary Jubilee Year of 2025 called by His Holiness Pope Francis, and the norms of the law, I hereby establish the following churches of the Archdioceses of Louisville as designated pilgrimage sites for the Jubilee year of 2025″
- The Cathedral of the Assumption – Louisville
- The Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral – Bardstown
- The Shrine of St. Martin of Tours – Louisville
- The Church of St. Augustine – Lebanon
- The Church of St. Helen – Glasgow
- The Church of the Holy Cross – Loretto
Visit at any time, but consider the following highlights at each location:
Saturday, May 31st: Priestly Ordination
Friday, August 15th: Feast of the Assumption
Sunday, September 28th: Filipino Festival

Wednesday, March 19th: Feast of St. Joseph Mass
Wednesday, July 16th: 209th Anniversary of the Cornerstone Mass & Dinner
Sunday, June 22nd: Corpus Christi Procession
Wednesday, April 16th: Tenebrae service at 8:00pm
Sunday, July 20th: Feast of St. Bonosa
Sunday, August 24th: Feast of St. Magnus
Fridays in Lent: 5:30pm Confessions and Adoration, 6:30pm Stations of the Cross
Saturdays: 8am Adoration, 9am Mass
Sunday, June 22nd: 10:30am Corpus Christi Mass followed by Procession
Sunday, June 22nd: Corpus Christi Eucharistic Procession
Monday, August 18th: Feast of St. Helen Mass & Reception
Every Friday from 3:00pm-9:00pm: Eucharistic Adoration & Benediction
Wednesdays & Fridays: Daily Mass at 9:00am followed by Eucharistic adoration
Saturday, June 14th: Summer Picnic with Mass at 4:00pm
Saturday October 4th: Turkey Supper with Mass at 4:00pm
OBTAINING THE JUBILEE INDULGENCE
A plenary indulgence is granted to the faithful during the Jubilee Year by doing all of the following:
- Having an interior disposition detached from sin
- Visiting one of the designated pilgrimage sites and participating in Mass or another liturgy or devotion there
- Going to sacramental confession (within several days of the visit)
- Receiving Holy Eucharist (within several days of the visit)
- Praying for the Pope’s intentions, which can be found at popesprayerusa.net
Indulgences can be received multiple times but not more than once per day. Indulgences may be applied to oneself or to a deceased person.
