Catholic Schools Begin 2018-2019 Academic Year

August 3, 2018 (Louisville, Ky.) –Jefferson County Catholic elementary schools in the Archdiocese of Louisville will begin the first official day of instruction on August 15, 2018. Although this is the first “official” day of school, some Catholic schools choose to begin on a day other than August 15. Parents should consult their school’s handbook to determine when their particular school will begin instruction.

Catholic Elementary Teachers Gather for Opening School Rally

August 3, 2018 (Louisville, Ky.) – Approximately 700 teachers from 40 Catholic elementary schools will gather on Friday, August 10 to celebrate the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year and share their collective ministry in Catholic school education.  This event will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Saint Margaret Mary Parish, 7813 Shelbyville Road, Louisville.

Array is first of its kind for the region; marks utility’s first Business Solar project

May 30, 2018 (LOUISVILLE, Ky.) – The Archdiocese of Louisville and Louisville Gas and Electric Company are partnering to operate the first diocesan-based solar array in the greater Kentucky region.
