June 26, 2020 (Louisville, Ky.)–In a letter sent yesterday to pastors, principals, and presidents of the 48 Catholic PK-12 schools in seven counties of central Kentucky, Archbishop Joseph Kurtz announced that Catholic schools will resume in-person instruction on their previously announced first day of school, which for Catholic schools in Jefferson County is on or around August 12. Archdiocese of Louisville Catholic Schools will be closed Monday, March 16, 2020 through Friday, April 3, 2020 in response to Governor Andy Beshear’s recommendation that all Kentucky schools close as one of several preventive measures to address the COVID-19 outbreak. All Catholic school activities are also canceled during this time.

November 4, 2019 (Louisville, Ky.)–Students in grade 8 who wish to attend a Catholic high school next year are required to take the Catholic high school placement test scheduled on Saturday, December 14, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Students take the test at the Catholic high school they plan to attend, and students should bring two #2 pencils. The test is free of charge. Information about the location of Catholic high schools can be found at www.louisvillecatholicschools.com.
October 30, 2019 (Louisville, Ky.)–On Wednesday, November 6, the Archdiocese of Louisville will honor 199 Catholic schoolteachers who have achieved a total of 3,505 years of teaching experience. This luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at The Olmsted, 3701 Frankfort Avenue.
