Catholic Charities of Louisville Acquires New Headquarters

October 28, 2022 (Louisville, KY) – The Archdiocese of Louisville today announced the purchase of a new headquarters for Catholic Charities of Louisville at 435 E. Broadway. The purchase includes a 75-space surface parking lot at the corner of Gray and Jackson Streets.

Catholic Charities of Louisville purchased the property from Stock Yards Bank for $5.1 million and expects to invest in renovations to convert the workspace to include communal work areas, client meeting rooms, classrooms, and childcare accommodations for clients. The building […]

Archdiocese of Louisville Honors 3,115 Years of Teaching Service

October 28, 2022 (Louisville, KY) On Thursday, November 3, the Archdiocese of Louisville will honor 190 Catholic schoolteachers who have achieved a total of 3,115 years of teaching experience. This luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at The Olmsted, 3701 Frankfort Avenue.

St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Elementary School Wins National Blue Ribbon Award

September 21, 2022 (Louisville, Ky.) – The United States Department of Education has announced that St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School in the Archdiocese of Louisville has been recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School for 2022 by U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona.   St. Francis of Assisi School, located at 1938 Alfresco Place, Louisville, Ky, is a two-time recipient of this award, last being recognized in 2016.

Archbishop Shelton Fabre Ordains Dustin Scott Hungerford to the Priesthood

May 16, 2022 (Louisville, KY) –On Saturday, May 21, 2022, Archbishop Shelton J. Fabre will ordain Deacon Dustin Scott Hungerford to the diocesan priesthood for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Louisville. January 25, 2022 (Louisville, KY) –Students, families, pastors, faculty and staff at 48 Catholic elementary and secondary schools in the Archdiocese of Louisville will join dioceses throughout the nation in celebrating Catholic Schools Week from January 30-February 5, 2022.
