Four Archdiocese of Louisville Catholic Elementary Schools Win Blue Ribbon Awards

September 30, 2014 (Louisville, Ky.) Today, the United States Department of Education announced that four Archdiocese of Louisville Catholic elementary schools have been named 2014 Blue Ribbon Schools.  Two schools, St. Aloysius (212 Mount Mercy Drive, Pewee Valley, Ky.) and St. Patrick (1000 North Beckley Station Road, Louisville, Ky.), will be recognized for the first time.  St. Agnes School (1800 Newburg Road, Louisville, Ky.) will be recognized for the third time (1999, 2005, 2014), and Holy Spirit School (322 Cannons Lane, […]

Mass Celebrates 75 Years of Catholic Charities Providing Help and Creating Hope

September 23, 2014 (Louisville, Ky.) On Sunday, September 28, at 9:30 a.m., the Archdiocese of Louisville will celebrate the 75th anniversary of Catholic Charities with a Mass celebrated by Archbishop Kurtz at the Cathedral of the Assumption, 433 S. 5th Street.  The Mass will be followed by a reception in the Cathedral Undercroft.
