August 28, 2017  (Louisville, KY) – On Thursday, September 21 at 7:00 p.m., Saint Bernadette Church (6500 St. Bernadette Avenue, Prospect) will hold a panel discussion about the opioid crisis. This will take place in the Saint Bernadette Parish Center near. With deaths from drug overdoses in our Commonwealth rising by 30% over the last five years, this is a topic of interest to the entire community. This event is free and open to the public.

Topics will include a discussion of how to begin dealing with the issue, both in families and in the community; signs and symptoms of addiction; how to seek treatment; and how to support those who have lost loved ones.

The panel discussion will be moderated by Gary Montgomery and will include experts in the fields of addiction, treatment, recovery and spirituality.

This event is being hosted with the parish by Catholic Charities of Louisville and the Knights of Columbus. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
