Veterans’ Day Celebration

(Louisville, Ky.) On Wednesday, November 11 at 8:00 a.m., St. Leonard School (440 Zorn Avenue) will celebrate Veteran’s Day.  The ceremony will feature patriotic songs and a presentation by Michael Rowan, a St. Frances of Rome parishioner and St. Leonard school parent, about his service in the U.S. Army. Students then will process to the front lawn of the school, which faces Zorn Avenue, and hold up small American flags and cards with the message: “Thank you for your service.”

St. Leonard Third Graders Celebrate Thanksgiving with Senior Prayer Partners

(Louisville, Ky.) On Friday, November 20 at 11:00 a.m., the third grade students of St. Leonard School (440 Zorn Avenue) will host their prayer partners for a Thanksgiving observance. The celebration will begin in Church with prayers, songs, and a performance of the book The Giving Tree, followed by a Thanksgiving lunch in the school’s Heritage Room from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Prayer partners are senior members of St. Leonard and St Frances of Rome Parishes.  The third graders meet periodically with their prayer partners during the school year.
