Catechist Credit: 6 hours applies toward Spiritual Formation
Faith as a Heart Matter: In this retreat day, we will explore “Faith as a Heart Matter.” We will apply the meaning in three ways: In our relationship with God, with ourselves and with others.
As Catechists, we are called to have a personal love relationship with God, so we can share our faith in a loving, joyful way from our hearts so others can experience the wonder and beauty of our God, who loves each human person deeply. When we teach from our heart, we embrace and accept all those we teach with patience and encouragement, calling them to be their best selves.
Sister Patricia Huitt, SCN, is passionate about giving workshops and retreats that enhance the spiritual and ministerial life of the Church. She has a master degree in Theology and a doctoral degree in Ministry Formation. She finds much joy in motivating and helping people to live loving lives for God and become an evangelizing force in sharing God’s love with others. She served as a missionary in Botswana for 13 and a half years from 2000-2014. She had the joy of being Director of Catechesis for 7 years in Botswana.
