Administrative Assistant

Description: Epiphany Catholic Church is looking for an energetic and dedicated individual seeking part-time work (20-25 hours per week) as our new Administrative Assistant.  Responsibilities include maintaining church database records, sacramental registers, and other weekly tasks, as well as providing assistance to the staff as needed.  General office duties will be required, including ordering supplies, greeting parishioners as needed, and providing back-up phone support.
Qualifications: Successful candidate is a Catholic who can multi-task, has excellent attention to detail, possesses exceptional people skills, and is able to learn and work with the computer technology required in this position. This person also has the ability to preserve confidential information, work without supervision when job skills are acquired and must be able to accomplish all tasks accurately and timely.   This position requires quality computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.  Knowledge of Parish Data Systems software or other church database software is a plus.

Youth Ministry Summer Intern

Opening: Youth Ministry Summer Intern

Description: The Youth Ministry Internship will be available May 15, 2018-July 31, 2018.  All applicants should be at least 21 years of age with reliable transportation.  Applicants should be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, which will include some nights and weekends. Pay Rate:  $10/hour

  • Assist the Director of Youth Ministry in planning and execution of summer events and planning for future school year events
  • Function as a counselor in the month of July for the Ulster Project
  • Chaperone youth during organized service and social outings
  • Communicate with volunteers and participants regarding summer events
  • Collaborate with other departments in an effort to further enhance the connection between Youth Ministry and the Parish
Qualifications: Applicants must be available for the duration of the internship.

Students currently enrolled in college courses and practicing Catholics are preferred.

Background screening is required.

Completion of Safe Environment Training through Archdiocese of Louisville is required.

Description: The Director of Youth & Young Adult Ministry at Saint James Catholic Church provides vision and coordination for the parish’s efforts in ministry to young people in both middle and high school, as well as to young adults in the community. As a leader in faith formation, this person recruits, inspires, and leads a variety of volunteers in pursuing a wide range of ministries to youth & young adults. These ministries include (but are not limited to): preparing regular catechetical classes for high school and middle school, including preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation; providing regular opportunities for service and social activities; planning and coordinating retreats (both local and participation in national events); and organizing activities and opportunities for young adults to grow in their faith.

The Director partners with other members of the parish faith formation team to proclaim the Gospel to all members of the parish family. More specifically, this person is eager to help teens & young adults grow in their knowledge, love, and service to the Lord Jesus Christ & His Church.

Qualifications: • In love with your Catholic faith, and passionate to share it with the youth of the Church!
• College degree (minimum of a bachelor’s degree)
• Advanced theological studies preferred, but not required
• At least three years of catechetical experience
• Ability to recruit, inspire, and lead volunteers to help achieve our broad vision for youth ministry
