The Safe Environment trainings are important training sessions designed to promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all. This training, along with an Archdiocese of Louisville issued background check, is mandatory for anyone working with children. Even if you think you will be working with children in the future, but are unsure, you are strongly encouraged to take advantage of these sessions. The trainings begin promptly at 6:30 p.m.

Swahili is a Bantu language widely used as a lingua franca (a language that is adopted as a common language between speakers whose native languages are different) in East Africa and having official status in several countries. Join Fr. Expedito Muwonge for the Mass. All are welcome! Kirundi, also known as Rundi, is a Bantu language and the national language of Burundi. It is a dialect spoken in Rwanda and adjacent parts of Tanzania, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, as well as in Kenya. Join the people throughout the Archdiocese of Louisville for a special Mass of Spiritual Accompaniment for families who are separated for any reason.
The Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 30 at 10 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Church. Father Silvio J. Fonseca Martinez will serve as celebrant and homilist. Father Martinez was arrested in 2023 inside the sacristy of Santa Faz Church in his home country of Nicaragua. He now serves the Archdiocese of Louisville in several of our Southern Kentucky Mission parishes.
Following the Mass, Father Martinez will talk about his experience in the Parish Family Hall.

The Wedding Anniversary Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 13 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church in Louisville. All sacramentally married couples are invited to attend with their families and be recognized with a certificate. Couples celebrating over 50 years will be personally congratulated and presented their certificate by Archbishop Shelton Fabre.
Couple wishing to participate should register through their respective parishes by Wednesday, September 3.
The Office of Family and Life Ministries will host a Mass for those grieving the loss of a loved one to suicide on Wednesday, September 17 at 7 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Louisville.

The annual Red Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 1 at the Cathedral of the Assumption in Louisville at 12:15 p.m. Please join the legal and judicial communities for the 10th consecutive Mass of the Holy Spirit invoking God’s blessing and guidance on all those in the legal profession. Archbishop Shelton J. Fabre will serve as the principal celebrant and homilist.
