Train-The-Trainer Session
The Office of Worship will offer a train-the-trainer session for those working with extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion in their parishes or schools. This may include clergy, teachers, lay staff, or volunteers who coordinate this ministry. This session will prepare attendees to conduct training sessions with extraordinary ministers in their own setting, which must include both spiritual, theological, and practical formation. Archdiocesan standards and policies will be reviewed, including procedures for requesting the canonical mandate. Participants will receive DVD and print resources that can assist with formation. There is no cost, but registration is required. Registrants must be either ordinary ministers of the Eucharist (priests, deacons) or have an up-to-date mandate as an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion.
