After devastating storms moved through central and southern Kentucky Friday night, my heart goes out to those who lost loved ones, homes, and livelihoods. I am saddened to learn that at least 23 people were killed after deadly storms hit parts of southern Kentucky. Join me in praying to God for the repose of the souls of those who died, for the healing of those injured, and for the strength of those who must now rebuild.
O God, to whose commands all the elements give obedience,
we humbly ask your blessings upon all those impacted by these storms,
envelope them in your love, protection, and presence.
May they feel the support of our communities in these most challenging times,
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
