Share the Journey Immigration Workshop

The Share the Journey Immigration workshop is open to the whole Archdiocese and will build awareness and wider support to our Latino sisters and brothers. It will feature keynote speaker Michelle Sardone, Legalization Program Director for the Catholic Legal Immigration Network (CLINIC). Our own Catholic Charities immigration staff will be present also.

The workshop will provide pastors and pastoral leaders in the Hispanic community, along with others in the wider faith community, with good information and resources to support individuals and families during these challenging times.

Topics and Speakers Include:

  • Federal Immigration Law: A Current Report (keynote presentation) – Michelle Sardone, Director of Legalization, Catholic Legal Immigration Network (CLINIC)
  • Immigrant presence in our community and its effect on our economy – Bryan Warren, Mayor’s Office on Globalization, Louisville Metro
  • State and Local Laws and Practices Affecting Immigrants – Steve Conrad, Chief, Louisville Metro Police Department; Rebecca Sim, Director of Immigration Legal Services, Catholic Charities of Louisville

The workshop will be presented in English, but Spanish translation will be available.
