Visual Arts Instructor

SHSA is seeking a dynamic and passionate Visual Arts Teacher effective August 3, 2026, to inspire and educate students in the visual arts. The ideal candidate will combine exceptional artistic expertise with strong educational skills.

After School Care Program Staff

This is an active, school-day position where every afternoon is different. Staff members supervise children throughout the school campus, including classrooms, the gymnasium, cafeteria, and playground, while maintaining a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment. Responsibilities include assisting with homework, leading games, crafts, STEM activities, and enrichment opportunities, encouraging positive friendships, communicating professionally with coworkers and administration, documenting incidents when necessary, and following all Holy Spirit School policies and Kentucky childcare licensing regulations.

Employees use technology throughout the day, including iPads, attendance and dismissal software, communication applications, and walkie-talkies. No advanced computer experience is required; training is provided.

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Evening School Custodian to join our facility maintenance team. In this role, you will ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and visitors. Because this shift takes place after core school hours, you will have the space to efficiently complete your routine cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Duties

• Floor Care: Sweep, dust mop, and damp mop floors in classrooms, hallways, the cafeteria, and the gymnasium to maintain a spotless appearance.
• Waste Management: Empty all trash and recycling bins daily from classrooms, offices, and common areas; replace liners and safely dispose of waste in designated dumpsters.
• Restroom Sanitation: Thoroughly clean and disinfect all school restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, and mirrors.
• Stocking & Replenishing: Monitor and refill all restroom dispensers, including soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue.
• Entryway Maintenance: Keep outside main entry areas clear of leaves, debris, and trash to ensure a positive first impression and safe passage.

Weekly & Seasonal Duties

• Perform deeper floor maintenance in high-traffic zones (hallways and gym) as scheduled.
• Weather Response: Clear outside entry areas and walkways of snow and ice during winter weather to ensure safe morning arrivals.
• Other circumstantial cleaning and tidying tasks to support school operations.

• Reliability: High dependability with a proven track record of punctuality for the M-F, 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM shift.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and reach for the duration of a 4-hour shift, and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.
• Independence: Capability to work efficiently with minimal direct supervision after initial training.
• Background Check: Must be able to successfully pass a standard school district background check and fingerprinting.
• Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is a plus, but not required. We will train the right candidate!

Middle School Social Studies Teacher

Full-Time Music Teacher for the 2026-27 School Year

This role extends beyond the classroom, as the Music Teacher plays an integral part in the life of the school and parish community. The position includes coordinating and directing student performances, collaborating with faculty across grade levels, and working closely with the parish’s Director of Music and Worship to support school liturgies and develop a children’s choir. A practicing Catholic is preferred, with an understanding of and appreciation for Catholic liturgy and traditions.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative and creative educator who demonstrates the ability to work effectively with colleagues and parish staff. This individual is highly organized and brings strong communication and classroom/behavior management skills to create a structured, positive learning environment. The teacher should be flexible and enthusiastic, with a passion for engaging and inspiring students of varying ages and abilities, helping each child grow in confidence, musical skill, and appreciation for the arts.

• Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field
