When I make my gift to the Appeal, I remember a verse from Luke 12:48 that Bishop Spalding shared with me when I first came to work for the Archdiocese of Louisville.

“To whom much is given, from him much is expected”

We are truly blessed, and with these blessing comes the responsibility to share those gifts with others. When I reflect on this verse in reference to the Catholic Services Appeal, the members of the Salt and Light Giving Society come to mind. This is a group of more than 2,000 members have answered the call to make a leadership gift to the Catholic Services Appeal. Their willingness to share their gifts is a great example of living the word of God. Thank you to everyone that answered the call to bring Christ to others through the 2017 Catholic Services Appeal. As I continue the preparations for the 2018 Appeal, the sense of gratitude for the support shown to the Appeal. The success of this CSA would not be possible without all the donors that answer the call to support our local Church.
