October 27, 2014 (Louisville, Ky.) Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz, D.D. is celebrating the annual Wedding Anniversary Mass on Sunday, November 2, 2:00 p.m., at the Cathedral of the Assumption, 433 South Fifth Street.

This event honors 151 couples celebrating their 30, 40, 50, and 60+ wedding anniversaries. The anniversary breakdown is:

30 years: 21 couples                63 years:   1 couple            70:  2 couples

40 years: 32 couples                64 years:   6 couples          73:  1 couple

50 years: 60 couples                66 years:   1 couple           

60 years: 18 couples                67 years:   3 couples

61 years:   2 couples                68 years:   1 couple

62 years:   2 couples                69 years:   1 couple                              

The longest-married couple (73 years) is Agnes and James MacPherson from St. Paul Parish.

Media outlets that wish to do interviews must be at the Cathedral at least 20 minutes early. We cannot conduct interviews after 1:45 p.m. because of preparations for the liturgy.
