Archdiocesan Youth Cantor Workshop
Calling All Young Singers! The Office of Worship is announcing a new workshop for youth interested in the ministry of cantor. This workshop is designed specifically for 6th-8th grade students in the archdiocese who want to learn how to lead their parish in song. Under the guidance of experience pastoral musician, Sarah Cleary, participants will learn what the ministry of a cantor really is, how to prepare for Mass as a cantor, and how to gain confidence in their liturgical role. The workshop will take place on Saturday, January 30, from 3:30-7:30 at St. Agnes Parish. After a time of formation and training, participants attend the 5pm Mass to observe and apply what they have learned. Mass will be followed by a small reception and presentation of certificates. This workshop is free and supported by the Catholic Services Appeal.
