Archbishop’s Leadership Briefing 13

1) I am pleased to share the news that we have exceeded our goal of $3.9 million for the 2018 Catholic Services Appeal.  Gifts are still coming, and although we are slightly behind last year’s record pace, we are actually ahead of the amount raised at this same point two years ago.  We anticipated the 2018 Appeal was going to be a bit more challenging with several parish capital campaigns in progress, changes in tax laws, an uncertain economy, and of course, new concerns about sexual abuse in the Church.  I am very gratified by this vote of confidence in our local Church, and I thank the thousands of donors who are so generous with their time, talent and treasure.

2) I hope you read the full report on the sexual abuse of minors in the Archdiocese of Louisville by Mr. Mark Miller. As a way to keep you informed, I wanted to share the remarks from the press conference in which we presented this information.

Here is a video of Mr. Miller’s remarks presenting an overview of his report.
