Many have faced hardships during the pandemic such as illness, unemployment, loneliness, stress, etc.  There has never been a greater need for the power of prayer, both for our own intentions and for the needs of others.  With this in mind, the Archdiocese of Louisville has launched a new page on their website: Faithful in Prayer

We invite you to visit Faithful in Prayer to submit your prayer intentions and to pray for the intentions of your brothers and sisters in Christ throughout the Archdiocese.  You may choose whether or not you wish to have your intention posted on the page (only first names will appear).  In addition to the staff of the Archdiocese and visitors to the site who offer to pray for those who submit intentions, the Trappist monks at the Abbey of Gethsemani in Trappist, Kentucky have committed to offer their prayers for your intentions.  We thank them for this ministry of prayer for the people of the Archdiocese of Louisville.

The Faithful in Prayer page will also provide a daily prayer, and will include links to daily readings, devotional music, the Saint of the Day, and more.  Through prayer, our community of faith experiences a spiritual communion that strengthens us and lifts our spirits during difficult times.  We hope this opportunity to share with each other in the spirit of prayer will provide a measure of hope and healing in this time of trial and in the brighter future ahead.

“Rejoice in hope, endure in affliction, remain faithful in prayer.” Romans 12:12
