Why is cultural diversity an issue for the Church? What difference will this make in my classroom? The intent of this class is to offer Catholic school teachers and catechists an opportunity to achieve a basic level of awareness and proficiency in the area of intercultural competency through the five guidelines recommended by the USCCB Committee on Cultural Diversity in the Church. The document Building Intercultural Competence for Ministers will serve as the foundational resource for our reflection and discussion.
