Director

Agency: Office of Mission Advancement
Description: The Director of Mission Advancement is responsible for oversight and execution of all archdiocesan development activities including the annual Catholic Services Appeal, major gifts initiative, planned giving program, donor relations, and other initiatives that might arise from time to time.  The Director supports parishes, schools, and archdiocesan agencies with their development strategies/functions and helps ensure they have the resources necessary to carry out the Gospel message of stewardship that Christ entrusted to the Church. Should be an active, practicing Catholic with understanding of Church organization and structure.

Qualifications: Requires a minimum of Bachelor’s degree from a four year accredited institution; Demonstrated experience in non-profit development practices and successful face-to-face solicitations; Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; experience with Raiser’s Edge donor software is a plus; Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Campus Minister

Opening: Campus Minister

Description: This full-time position serves as the Catholic Campus Minister at the University of Louisville and designs and implements programs that provide pastoral care for Catholic students and faculty.  Responsibilities consist of planning and leading retreats at the University level, offering scripture study and interfaith dialogue, leadership development, community building, and facilitating outreach opportunities.

Should be an active, practicing Catholic with understanding of Church organization and structure.

Qualifications: Requires Bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Ministry, related field or comparable experience in Campus Ministry. Master’s Degree preferred. Must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively and plan, organize and lead retreats at the University level. Basic computer skills and knowledge of budgeting, calendar and planning programs are necessary.

Director of Development

Agency: Catholic Charities
Description: The Director of Development will direct all aspects of Catholic Charities development and communications activities. This person is responsible for the generation of monetary resources from private funding sources (individual, corporations, and private foundations), and works with the Mission team to generate material contributions and volunteer participation, for continued delivery and expansion of agency services. This person supports and furthers the public reputation of the agency by coordinating and supervising communication in all channels, including social media, earned media, website presence, and direct mail. This person will work with the Director of Mission to engage parishes and community organizations in the work and mission of CCL, and work with the Director of Programs to identify and pursue private funding opportunities to support new and existing programs.  This position participates in the overall management and strategic planning of Catholic Charities by interfacing with the Leadership Team.
Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.

Minimum of three years development experience with proven results is required; minimum of 3 years project management/supervisory experience is preferred.

Cemetery Grounds Maintenance

Opening: Cemetery Grounds Maintenance
Agency: Catholic Cemeteries
Description: The Catholic Cemeteries are currently seeking employees for Seasonal positions (April 1st through October 31st / 28 hours per week). The maintenance duties may include and are not limited to:

• Cut grass, trim around trees, walkways and memorial markers

• Work safely and comply with the company’s safety procedures

Qualifications: • Must be able to work as a team member, communicate effectively with foremen, fellow employees, contractor personnel and families

• Must show respect and sensitivity toward families

• Ability to work outside in a physically demanding environment

• Ability to operate hand-held tools and equipment (lawn mowers/string trimmers,etc.)

• Must be 18 years old/ Must have a valid driver’s license

• Must pass drug test (background check is also required)
