St. Leonard Students Donate Shoes for Edge Outreach
(Louisville, Ky.) St. Leonard School (440 Zorn Avenue) 5th and 7th grade students will be visiting EDGE Outreach (1500 Arlington Avenue) on Friday, March 16 at 1:30 p.m. Students will be making this visit as part of a student service outreach project to collect shoes, which resulted in the collection of more than 700 pounds of shoes. EDGE uses money received for these shoes to provide clean and safe water around the world. The tour of EDGE is expected to last 45 minutes.

CALENDAR ADVISORY
(Louisville, Ky.) On Saturday, March 31 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saint Leonard School (440 Zorn Avenue) will hold a recycling event sponsored by the school’s environmental club. There is no cost for the disposal of items but the school is asking each person utilizing the service to donate something listed on the Kentucky Humane Society’s Wish List. The school is partnering with A to Z Recycling, Commonwealth Computer Recycling, DDC of Kentucky, and Louisville Biodiesel Cooperative to accept obsolete electronic equipment such as computers (including screens), laptops, televisions, scanners, copiers, fax machines, game systems, cell phones, and spent ink/toner cartridges. Shredding will be available for paper, folders, credit cards, and discs, and cooking oil in clean closed containers will be accepted.
