The 1,600 seniors who graduated from the nine Catholic secondary schools in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Louisville received a record $107,085,809 in scholarships to colleges, universities and vocational or business schools. This figure does not include grants or Kentucky Educational Excellence (KEES) scholarship money. Scholarships were given to 890 students, or 56% of the graduating class, for a total of 2,765 scholarships. Ninety-nine percent of these seniors will continue their education at college, universities and vocational or business schools.

The class included 34 National Merit Semi-Finalists, 32 National Merit Finalists, 25 National Merit Commended Students, 66 Governor’s Scholars and 18 Governor’s School for the Arts participants. Three students received National Merit Special Scholarships, and 4 students received National Merit Achievement Scholarships.

These seniors also amassed more than 100,000 hours of community service during the 2009-2010 school year.

Eight of the 9 schools (Assumption High School, St. Francis DeSales High School, Holy Cross High School, Mercy Academy, Presentation Academy, Sacred Heart Academy, Trinity High School and St. Xavier High School) are located in Jefferson County; 1 school (Bethlehem High School) is located in Bardstown, Kentucky.
