The Reverend Donald R. Goetz, a retired priest of the Archdiocese of Louisville, died this morning at the age of 72. Father Goetz had served as Pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary, St. Mary Magdalen of Pazzi, Payneville, St. Brigid, Louisville and St. James, Louisville Parishes before retiring. He was presently serving as Sacramental Moderator of St. Boniface while continuing his volunteer work in the Marriage Tribunal and the Archdiocesan Archives.
The concelebrated funeral Liturgy will be at Saint Boniface Church, 531 East Liberty Street on Saturday, December 6th at 11:00 a.m. Archbishop Kurtz will preside.
Visitation will be at Ratterman’s Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road on Friday from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Church.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery following the funeral Liturgy.
