Toilet paper is an essential item most of us take for granted, but it’s something low-income households often struggle to afford. That’s why our Sister Visitor Center is thrilled to report that our donation room has been fully stocked with toilet paper this entire year thanks to the generous donors who keep us supplied!

Sister Visitor Center is an emergency assistance program in west Louisville that provides the most basic of human needs: food, clothes, help with rent, utilities, and medicines. We serve around 300 households each month, providing clients with much-needed items, many of which (including toilet paper) cannot be purchased using food stamps. Our donors help us meet the needs of clients — providing help and restoring hope.

We’re committed to helping the poor and vulnerable in our community, and we welcome donations to assist us in carrying out this mission. Interested in donating? Our most-needed items currently include: body wash, deodorant, feminine products, razors, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste … and toilet paper. Donations can be dropped off at 2235 W. Market St. on weekdays from 8:45am to 12pm or 1 to 4pm.

Sr. Michele Intravia, O.S.U.M.S.J., is Director of the Sister Visitor Center.
