Catholic Secondary School Class of 2013 Receive Record Number of Scholarships

The 1,468 seniors who graduated from the 9 Catholic secondary schools in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Louisville received a record $115.3 million in scholarships to colleges, universities, vocational, or business schools. This figure does not include grants or Kentucky Educational Excellence (KEES) scholarship money; these seniors received more than $7 million in KEES grants. St. Nicholas Academy Students Excel In Competition

(Louisville, Ky.) Two students representing St. Nicholas Academy (5501 New Cut Road) recently received a perfect score in the last of three meets for this year’s WordMasters Challenge™—a national vocabulary competition involving nearly 150,000 students annually.

Archdiocese of Louisville Celebrates National Catholic Schools Week

(Louisville, KY) Nearly 20,000 students and 1,500 faculty and staff at 47 Catholic elementary and secondary schools will celebrate National Catholic Schools Week from January 27-February 2, 2013. The theme for this year’s Catholic Schools Week is “Catholic Schools Raise the Standards.”
