“As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace.”

– 1 Peter 4:10

Happy Easter 2018! May God bless you as we celebrate the glorious resurrection of His Son, our Savior Jesus Christ.

One of the great joys I have in leading the Office of Mission Advancement is to hear stories of people sharing God’s blessings throughout the Archdiocese of Louisville. Members of our Mission Advancement staff often have a conversation, receive an email, or read a story in The Record that inspires us in our own service to Christ.

We are surrounded with stories of good stewards, and their inspiring examples should be shared with the larger community. From the person who serves in community outreach ministry at his parish, to the advocate who prays for increased vocations to religious life, to the donor who describes why her family would be incomplete without their Catholic faith, these stories are testaments to the Holy Spirit alive in our Church. They are the very essence of God’s call to be generous stewards of the blessings He has placed in our lives!

For this reason, the Office of Mission Advancement introduces our new blog. In these pages, we hope to share insights on many ministries, events, and programs that are impacted through the generosity of people across the Archdiocese of Louisville. So many parish ministries, archdiocesan services, and other local programs are made possible by those who are good stewards of God’s blessings.

My hope for this blog is that you, like our staff, are inspired when learning about the many forms of generosity in our parishes and throughout the Archdiocese. Please check back regularly to read real-life examples of how good stewards continue to impact our local Catholic Church.

Peace,

Richard “Tink” Guthrie
