Sister Virginia Ann Driscoll - September 7

Sister of Loretto Virginia Ann Driscoll, who had served at the Loretto Motherhouse in Nerinx, Ky., died Sept. 7 at Swedish Hospital in Englewood, Colo. She was in her 61st year of religious life.

A native of Pueblo, Colo., Sister Driscoll entered the Sisters of Loretto novitiate in 1946 in Nerinx and received her habit in 1947. In the Archdiocese of Louisville, she served as a pharmacist at the Loretto Motherhouse infirmary for two years and then as administrator.
She also served in Texas and the West Indies.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Regina Driscoll of Sugar Land, Texas; first cousins Louise and Dan Driscoll of Pueblo, Colo.; other relatives and members of the Loretto community.

The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Sept. 15 at the Loretto Center chapel in Littleton, Colo. Her body was cremated, and her remains were buried at the Loretto Motherhouse cemetery in Nerinx.
