Sister Agnes Catherine Williams, OSUMSJ - August 9, 2007

Mount St. Joseph Ursuline Sister Agnes Catherine Williams died Aug. 9 at Mount St. Joseph, Maple Mount, Ky. She was 102 — the oldest member of her community — and was in her 82nd year of religious life.

A native of Owensboro, Ky., Sister Williams was an educator for 62 years. In the Archdiocese of Louisville, she taught at St. Columba School, Louisville, from 1926-27 and 1935-44; Holy Name of Mary School, Calvary, Ky., 1944-45; and St. Francis Xavier School, Raywick, Ky. 1945-50.

Survivors include nieces and nephews and the members of her religious community. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Aug. 13 at Mount Saint Joseph.
