Sister Mary Rosita Willett, OSUMSJ - February 21

Ursuline Sister of Mount St. Joseph Mary Rosita Willett died Feb. 21 at Mount St. Joseph, Maple Mount. Ky. She was 88 and in the 68th year of religious life.

An educator for 49 years, Sister Willett taught at Holy Cross School, Holy Cross, Ky. (1945-51) and St. Edward School, Jeffersontown (1980-81), and was coordinator of religious education at St. Ignatius Martyr Church, Louisville (1981-82). She also ministered in the Diocese of Owensboro, Ky.; taught in New Mexico and served in parish ministry in Kentucky and Illinois.

Survivors include three sisters, Sister Dorothy Marie Willett, Maple Mount, Ky.; Kathleen Dunkel, Englewood, Ohio; and Doris Trapp, Mount Carmel, Ill.; one brother, Joseph Vernon Willett, Evansville, Ind.; nieces and nephews, and the members of her religious community.

The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Feb. 24 at Mount St. Joseph.
