Sister Mary McKenna, SCN - February 5

Sister of Charity of Nazareth Mary McKenna, formerly Sister Pauline Maria McKenna, died February 5 at Nazareth Home in Louisville. She was 91 and had been an SCN for 70 years.

Sister McKenna served in the apostolate of education as a teacher and principal for nearly 50 years in Kentucky, Tennessee, Maryland and Massachusetts. In the Archdiocese of Louisville, she taught at Most Blessed Sacrament School and was both a teacher and principal at Resurrection School in Louisville.

Survivors include one nephew, Paul Howard of Moorestown, N.J.; cousins, former students, friends and sisters in the SCN congregation.
The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated February 12 at St. Vincent Church, Nazareth, Ky. Burial was in Nazareth Cemetery.
