Archdiocese of Louisville
Draft Strategic Plan 2009
Over the past eight months, the Archdiocese of Louisville has been working to prepare our new strategic plan. Input from hundreds of people was gathered at listening sessions and via the web last fall. Since January, the Planning Commission has worked along with five subcommittees to prepare a draft plan.
In our model of strategic planning we identify significant initiatives that are timely and able to be implemented over the next three to five years. Because this planning is strategic and not comprehensive, the plan does not include every activity or service to be provided, and it is expected that regular programming continues.
We invite you to review the plan and provide us with some feedback. If you wish to do so, please read one goal at a time, including the objectives and action steps, and then respond to the two questions on the response form. You are welcome to respond to all five goals or to simply review ones that interest you.
It may help you to know the following definitions:
| GOAL: |
A clearly-defined, constructive statement of a desired direction or activity in broad, general terms. |
| OBJECTIVE: |
How we are to accomplish or achieve the goal. |
| ACTION STEP: |
How objectives are implemented; a specific action or a group of steps spelling out how each objective will be reached. |
The Planning Commission will consider your suggestions as the plan is shaped into its final draft. All responses must be received by July 31st.
