Ascension Students Observe Ash Wednesday Through Lesson on Hunger

(Louisville, Kentucky) On Wednesday, February 21 (Ash Wednesday) students at Ascension School (4600 Lynnbrook Drive) in grades K-8 will learn about worldwide hunger before their Ash Wednesday liturgy.

Students will eat a different kind of lunch and then participate in an exercise featuring a symbolic representation of the way food is distributed in 40 nations. The last lunch will be served at 11:50 p.m., and the exercise begins at 1:00 p.m. Mass will follow at 1:30 p.m.
