ARCHDIOCESE HONORS 3,854 YEARS OF TEACHING SERVICE

(Louisville, KY) On Thursday, October 19, 2006, the Archdiocese of Louisville will honor 244 teachers who have achieved a total of 3,854 years of teaching experience. This luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at The Olmsted, 3701 Frankfort Avenue. 

 Teachers are being recognized for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, and 45+ years of teaching:

Archbishop Thomas C. Kelly, O.P., will make the opening remarks and invocation. After lunch, the program will feature a keynote address by Mercy Academy senior Megan Atkins. The award presentation will follow the keynote address at approximately 12:45 p.m.

These teachers serve more than 21,800 students in 49 Catholic schools in seven counties of the Archdiocese of Louisville.
