COUPLES CELEBRATE A COMBINED TOTAL OF 6,571 YEARS OF MARRIAGE

Archbishop Thomas C. Kelly is celebrating the annual Wedding Anniversary Mass on Sunday, September 24, 2:30 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Assumption, 443 South Fifth Street. This event honors couples celebrating their 30th, 40th, 50th, or 60th+ wedding anniversaries. One hundred thirty-five couples are attending. The anniversary breakdown is:

The longest married couple is William and LaVerne Lattis, who have been attending this celebration every year since their 60th anniversary. Bremer Ehrler (former County Judge Executive, Secretary of State and Jefferson County Sheriff) and his wife Elizabeth are celebrating their 65th anniversary.
