CELEBRITY READ-IN WEEK

(Louisville, Kentucky) St. Athanasius School, 5915 Outer Loop, will hold a “Celebrity Read-In Week” from March 31-April 4 at the school. The event is held to stress the importance of reading by inviting community leaders to read to students in grades pre-kindergarten through 5 during the week. A detailed schedule follows.

March 31
 
8:00 a.m. James Peden, District 23 Metro Councilman, reading to pre-K in room 12.
12:15 p.m. Leisa Speer, superintendent of Catholic schools, Archdiocese of Louisville, reading to 5th grade in room 24.
1:00 p.m. Jan Chipman, surgeon, reading to 4th grade in room 37.
1:45 p.m. Roger Cecil, fireman, reading to kindergarten in the library.
Tuesday,
April 1
1:00 p.m.: Beverly McAuliffe, principal of Sacred Heart Academy, with a SHA student, reading to 3rd grade in the library.
Wednesday,
April 2
Parishioners and parish staff will be reading throughout the day to the children.

1:00 p.m. Suzanne Iles, art teacher at Presentation Academy, reading to 1st grade in the library.
1:30 p.m. Scott and Danielle Wiegandt, athletic director of Bellarmine University (Scott) and 2007-08 admissions coordinator and 2008-09 principal of Holy Cross High School (Danielle), reading to pre-K in room 12.
