Thank you for your interest in the possibility of substitute teaching within the Archdiocese of Louisville. To be considered an applicant, you will need to complete an application form (link below). Within the application you will find a useful checklist that will assist you in submitting all of the necessary documentation with the application.

For elementary schools, an updated substitute teacher list is prepared and forwarded to our schools on the first of every month. If hired, you will be contacted directly by the school needing your assistance. You also will be paid by the school that employs you as a sub.

Each high school in our archdiocese has its own substitute teaching requirements. If you are interested in substitute teaching at the high school level, please contact the high schools directly. A link to each school is located here.

Middle School Math and Science Teacher

Description: Full-Time Middle School Math and Science Teacher at Saint Aloysius School, Pewee Valley, Kentucky

Information:
 This teacher would be part of the middle school team and as such would also participate in community groups and possibly teach one religion class. Ability to teach Algebra I course is an advantage. Saint Aloysius School is only 5 minutes from I-265, exit 30.

 Saint Gregory School is a friendly community with abundant parish and parental support, conveniently located on Highway 245, halfway between Interstate 65 and Bardstown, Kentucky, in a developing, rural area. Our mission is to serve the intellectual and formational needs of children in a curriculum rooted in faith development. Current enrollment is 130 students in grades Pre-K to 8. The principal will lead a well educated staff, including a part-time counselor, resource teacher, classroom aides and special teachers in music, technology/computers, gym/health and the visual arts.
Requirements: We are seeking a practicing Roman Catholic with excellent communication skills and proven administrative abilities to continue a strong academic program. Applicants must be strong educators with classroom experience and preferable administrative background. They are expected to meet the Archdiocese of Louisville requirements for the position of Principal.
