Adam Bradford Carrico to be Ordained to the Priesthood for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Louisville

December 10,2015 (Louisville, Ky.) – On Saturday, December 19, 2015, Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz, D.D. will ordain Deacon Adam Bradford Carrico to the diocesan priesthood for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Louisville. The ordination will take place at 11 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Assumption, 433 South Fifth Street.

Catholic High School Placement Test – December 12, 2015

November 12, 2015 – Students in grade 8 who wish to attend a Catholic high school next year are required to take the Catholic high school placement test scheduled on Saturday, December 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 

Students take the test at the Catholic high school they plan to attend. They must bring a $10 fee and two #2 pencils.  Information about the location of the high schools can be found at www.archlou.org/schools.

Archdiocese Planning Move of its College Street Campus

November 12, 2015 (Louisville, Ky.) – The Archdiocese of Louisville is beginning renovation and construction to establish a pastoral center on the Holy Family Parish (3926 Poplar Level Road) property.  This facility will replace the Catholic Chancery located at 212 East College Street and will reduce the number of office buildings from three to two locations: the Holy Family campus on Poplar Level Road and the Maloney Center. Archdiocese of Louisville Holds First Women’s Conference

Nov. 4, 2015 (Louisville, KY)  On Saturday, November 7, the Archdiocese of Louisville will hold its first Women’s Conference from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at St. Patrick Parish (1000 North Beckley Station Road).  The sold-out conference will feature a keynote presentation, workshops, a Mass celebrated by Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz, D.D. and time for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. 600 women are expected to attend.

ARCHDIOCESE OF LOUISVILLE HONORS 3,350 YEARS OF TEACHING SERVICE

November 2, 2015 (Louisville, KY) On Thursday, November 5, the Archdiocese of Louisville will honor 198 Catholic school teachers who have achieved a total of 3,350 years of teaching experience. This luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at The Olmsted, 3701 Frankfort Avenue.

Couples Celebrate a Combined Total of 6,646 Year of Marriage

October 26, 2015 (Louisville, Ky.) – Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz, D.D. is celebrating the annual Wedding Anniversary Mass on Sunday, November 1, 2:00 p.m., at the Cathedral of the Assumption, 433 South Fifth Street.
