Monument Department

Thank you for considering Catholic Cemeteries for your memorial needs. Our goal is to provide an excellent service to our families and community. Ensuring the future maintenance of the cemetery grounds is a big part of this service. Your continued support and business will contribute to the beautification and longevity of our cemeteries. Memorial sales will result in a stronger future for Catholic cemeteries.

Some of the advantages of purchasing your memorial through Catholic Cemeteries include:

  • Non-commissioned sales counselors familiar with your grave or lot, resulting in an informative, relaxed atmosphere for decision-making.
  • Your memorial purchase will help to maintain your lot and the Catholic cemeteries. A memorial purchased from another monument dealer will do nothing for the maintenance of your lot.
  • An assortment of granite choices is available from experienced manufacturing quarries, producing only quality memorials. We offer different types of granite from quarries in different parts of the United States and from some foreign countries. Our manufacturing quarries have combined experience of more than 100 years and use state-of-the-art equipment in the finishing process.
  • Direct manufacturer purchasing is reflected in the sales price.
  • A responsible and professional cemetery crew handles memorial placement.

Depending on the privilege allowed by the grave purchased, the memorials can be classified into four different types:

Level Markers

These markers are level with the ground. Depending upon individual grave restrictions, the size range for level markers is as follows:

Infant Level Marker 20" x 10" x 4"
Single Level Marker 24" x 12" x 4" - 24" x 14" x 6"
Double Level Marker 36" x 12" x 6" - 36" x 14" x 6"
Triple Level Marker 48" x 12" x 6" - 48" x 14" - 6"

Bevel Markers

Bevel markers can be a maximum of twelve inches above the ground. They have a two-inch drop from the back to the front of the marker. Depending upon individual grave restrictions, the size range for bevel markers is as follows:

Single Bevel Marker 24" x 12" x 8" - 24" x 14" x 12"
Double Bevel Marker 36" x 12" x 8" - 36" x 14" x 12"

Double Slant Marker 36" x 10" x 16" - 36" x 12" x 18"

 Monuments

Monument lots must consist of at least two graves and may use an upright memorial, which is usually a tablet and a base. Other designs include benches, crosses, statues or sundials. The size of the stone is determined by the size of the lot. The minimum thickness of the tablet is eight inches. The height of the tablet depends on the design of the monument, with a minimum of twenty-two inches. The minimum height of the base is eight inches (some exceptions apply, depending on the slope of the terrain). All bases must be a minimum of eighteen inches away from the boundaries of the lot. The minimum length of a base depends on the design of the monument.

Our monument department also can assist you with your inscription needs, with the purchase of vases, or with the design of lawn crypts (above-ground) and private, walk-in mausoleums.
