Founded in 1990, Saint Martin de Porres Parish serves more than 1,300 persons in West Louisville.

Saint Nicholas Academy, Louisville, Ky.
Located in Louisville's South End, Saint Nicholas Academy serves nearly 500 students in grades K-8.

 

Office of Multicultural Ministry

Purpose

To give direction and leadership to the full and holistic development of our growing and diverse Catholic communities within the Archdiocese of Louisville. OMM provides resources to the archdiocese in its effort to respond to diverse ethnic pastoral needs and concerns. It utilizes resources both locally and nationally in order to foster holistic development from a cultural perspective. It encourages the full participation of the multicultural community through the implementation of the archdiocesan strategic plan in collaboration with various national ethnic pastoral plans.

Multicultural Day of Reflection

Bridging Diversity: Embracing the Gift and Accepting the Challenge, a Multicultural Day of Reflection, will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2010, at the Hilton Garden Inn, 2735 Crittenden Drive in Louisville.

  • Registration and Continental Breakfast: 8:30-9:00 a.m.
  • Event: 9:00-2:30 p.m.

This day will invite participants to:

  • Expand our understanding of diversity
  • Identify the barriers that keep us from crossing these bridges
  • Open our spirits to a deeper awareness and appreciation of the diversity within our family of faith
  • Explore the experience of our faith, rooted in Baptism and Eucharist, as a bridge to celebrating diversity

Cost of $40.00 includes materials and lunch.
