Calendar Advisory – Catholic High School Placement Test

November 18, 2013  Students in grade 8 who wish to attend a Catholic high school next year are required to take the Catholic high school placement test scheduled on Saturday, December 14, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 

Students take the test at the Catholic high school they plan to attend. They must bring a $10 fee and two #2 pencils.  Information about the location of the high schools can be found at www.archlou.org/schools.

Nine Individuals Receive Papal Honors

November 18, 2013 (Louisville, Ky.) Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz, D.D. is presenting papal honors granted to nine men and women by Pope Francis.  This prayer service and presentation will take place on Sunday, November 24, 3:00 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Assumption, 435 South Fifth Street.  This event is open to the public, and a reception will follow the ceremony.

Lessons in Stewardship: Saint Mary Academy

November 14, 2013 (Louisville, Ky.)  Stewardship Education/Food Pantry: From Monday, November 11 through Thursday, November 21, Saint Mary Academy (11311 St. Mary Lane, Prospect, Ky.) third-graders will be collecting food for the Eastern Area Ministries and the Immaculate Conception Church’s (LaGrange, Ky.) food pantry.  Students will collect canned goods and non-perishable food in conjunction with their stewardship studies about those who are hungry.
